AMERICAN HARDWARE MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES INTERNATIONAL PUBLICATION
The Hard Fax Extends its Reach With International Edition
Schaumburg, Illinois, September 2, 2008 — The American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA) announced it will launch an international edition of its successful news publication The Hard Fax: Home Improvement Industry News. The Hard Fax International will launch Monday, September 8th, just prior to the AHMA / USA Pavilion opening at Mexico’s Expo Nacional Ferretera scheduled for September 12 – 14 in Guadalajara.
“The Hard Fax has been in circulation for 14 years and has been very successful,” said Timothy S. Farrell, AHMA’s President and Chief Executive Officer, “and with the increasing emphasis on global business, it made sense to launch an international edition of the publication.” The Hard Fax International will be a bi-weekly publication distributed every other Monday, to complement The Hard Fax which is distributed each Wednesday. The new publication will be sent to all AHMA members as a member benefit, and subscriptions are available to non-members.
In addition to his duties as publisher and editor of The Hard Fax, Terry Gallagher will also edit and publish The Hard Fax International.
Gallagher to Report Live from Expo Nacional Ferretera
Gallagher will be reporting live from this year’s Expo Nacional Ferretera for four days, covering the world of international business, including industry trends, new product launches, and breaking news from the show floor. His reports can be seen at www.ahma.org beginning September 11 through September 14. Currently in its 20th year, the show is the dominant and leading hardware/home improvement trade show for the Mexican/Latin American market, attracting over 66,000 attendees in 2007. Sixteen manufacturers will be exhibiting in the AHMA / USA Pavilion, including Ali Industries, Inc., Columbus McKinnon Corporation, Do it Best Corp., Estwing Manufacturing Company, Inc., EZ-FLO/Eastman, EZE-LAP Diamond Products, Inc., M-D Building Products, McKim Group, Mercer Abrasives, and MUNDO Sales & Marketing LLC. New exhibitors this year include The C.H. Hanson Company, J. T. Eaton & Company, Inc., LA-CO Industries, Inc., Little Giant Ladder Systems, Red Devil, Inc., and Accessories Marketing, Inc.
