AHMA / USA Pavilion Exhibitors at International Hardware Fair Cologne Say Show a Success
Participants in the pavilion report high interest from the 50,000+ trade visitors to the International Hardware Fair
Schaumburg, Illinois, March 19, 2014 — The American Hardware Manufacturers Association’s AHMA / USA Pavilion at the International Hardware Fair Cologne, held March 9 – 12, 2014 at the Koelnmesse exhibition center in Cologne, Germany, provided an excellent venue for American manufacturers to showcase their products to a worldwide marketplace.
As over 50,000 visitors from 136 countries shopped the aisles of the show, many thousands were drawn to AHMA’s prominent pavilion located at the entrance to Hall 4.2, where it has been for the past 27 International Hardware Fairs.
Timothy S. Farrell, President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Hardware Manufacturers Association, said: “The AHMA / USA Pavilion at the International Hardware Fair was once again a tremendous success. We look forward to providing our members and participating exhibitors with more opportunities to reach international customers as we plan for the 2016 Fair in Cologne as well as other shows and events around the world.”
Dave Knific, Export Sales Manager with Genova Products, Inc., said the 2014 AHMA / USA Pavilion at the International Hardware Fair produced quality sales leads: “There was great value in participating in this year’s show. On the first day alone I accumulated leads from countries such as Hungary, the Philippines and Netherlands, in addition to leads from more local countries such as Germany and Belgium.”
Joe Pires, President of the McKim Group, said: “The show was very good. I met with potential customers from the Middle East, Belgium and England, just to name a few. Traffic was consistent with years past. The show also gave me the opportunity to touch base with current customers and discuss solutions for their business needs.”
Sabine Winkels, Commercial Specialist with the U.S. Commercial Service, said: “Eisenwarenmesse 2014 was an amazing event for the U.S. Commercial Service. We conducted great meetings with exhibitors and international visitors alike. The traffic was excellent, and our location in the U.S.-branded AHMA / USA Pavilion made it easy for visitors to find us.”
On Tuesday evening of the show, the AHMA / USA Pavilion hosted its traditional reception for exhibitors, their customers and other invited guests. The reception was held at Peters Brauhaus, an historic restaurant and brew house in the old city section of Cologne. Over 100 people attended the event which was hailed as a tremendous success and a perfect venue for relaxed networking with customers and prospects.
"The ambiance was reflective of the historic city, and my customers thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Thanks for providing this wonderful opportunity to bond socially with some very important business associates," said David Silverman, Executive Vice President, Global Sales, General Wire Spring Company.
