AHMA Supports Haiti Relief and Encourages Members to Also Donate by Crediting Membership Dues

Schaumburg, Illinois, January 26, 2010 —The American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA) is supporting the continuing humanitarian efforts in Haiti through a donation to the American Red Cross.  AHMA is also matching employees’ donations for these efforts.

Additionally, AHMA is encouraging member companies and the entire hardware / home improvement industry to assist in these efforts by offering to credit the amount of donations up to the full amount of a company’s next membership renewal or new membership dues.

Timothy S. Farrell, President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Hardware Manufacturers Association, said:  “The hardware / home improvement industry has always been very generous in responding to disaster relief efforts and we are happy to do as much as we can to help the people of Haiti recover from this devastating natural disaster.”
