AHMA / USA Pavilion at the International Hardware Fair Cologne Generates Worldwide Interest in American Home Improvement Products
Participants in the pavilion report heavy booth traffic and high quality sales leads.
Schaumburg, Illinois, March 10, 2010 — The American Hardware Manufacturers Association’s AHMA / USA Pavilion at the International Hardware Fair held in Cologne, Germany last week provided high visibility for American home improvement products in the world marketplace.
As over 56,000 trade visitors from 124 countries walked the aisles of the Koelnmesse exhibition center, many thousands were drawn to AHMA’s large, very prominent and familiar pavilion location at the entrance to Hall 4.2.
“I am very pleased with the amount and quality of the sales leads we acquired during the show. They have exceeded our expectations! We received many quality leads from Germany and other European countries, but leads have also come from countries such as New Zealand, Peru, Ecuador and Israel. I have to say that the Cologne Show is truly an international show where contacts can come from anywhere in the world,” said Dave Knific, Export Sales Manager, Genova Products, Inc.
On the second day of the show, Jim VanHuis of Klein Tools said: “The quality of the visitors has been outstanding. I collected sales leads covering 25 different countries today alone. It has been an excellent first two days and we hope for the same the next two. We will definitely be back in 2012.”
Al Biland of A&E Hand Tools said: “The quality of the traffic was excellent. We saw all of our most important customers and made a number of new important contacts.” And Diana Knudsen of Valley View Industries added: “The objectives we achieved were higher than we expected.”
Timothy S. Farrell, President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Hardware Manufacturers Association, said: “The AHMA / USA Pavilion at the International Hardware Fair was a tremendous success by any measure. We look forward to providing our members and participating exhibitors with more opportunities to reach international customers as we plan for the 2012 Fair in Cologne as well as other shows and events around the world.”
