AHMA Unlocks News Websites

User Names and Passwords No Longer Required for Access.

Schaumburg, Illinois, September 6, 2011 —The American Hardware Manufacturers Association (AHMA) today announced it has removed the requirement for user names and passwords to read news items posted on The Hard Fax and The Hard Fax International.

The decision was made to improve and promote the accessibility of home improvement industry news throughout the internet and to make the websites more compatible for sharing on social networks.

Certain member-only portions of the AHMA website (ahma.org) will remain restricted and reserved for members.

Timothy S. Farrell, President and Chief Executive Officer of AHMA, said:  “We want to make it as easy as possible for all segments of the industry, and the public at large, to have access to all the timely news posted on our websites.  This decision is also very much in keeping with our primary mission, which is to be the most valuable resource to manufacturers in the home improvement industry.”
